A strong understanding of financial statements is essential for sound business decision-making and effective stakeholder communication. IIM Ahmedabad’s Financial Reporting and Corporate Governance programme is designed to equip participants with core knowledge of financial accounting, financial statement analysis, and governance practices.

The programme covers the preparation and interpretation of key financial statements—including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement—followed by practical tools and techniques for financial analysis. Participants will also gain insights into fraud detection, earnings manipulation, and corporate governance principles, enabling them to apply financial insights with clarity, confidence, and precision in real-world business contexts.

Eligibility Criteria

tick Candidates should be graduates or postgraduates in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks and 2–3 years of work experience. The programme is ideal for executives in junior and middle management roles. Entrepreneurs are also welcome to apply. Participants will be selected based on an assessment of their work experience, academic background, and motivation to pursue the programme, as demonstrated in the application form.

Admission Criteria

tick Selection will be based on a comprehensive profile submitted by the candidate, detailing their academic background, professional experience, designation, current role and responsibilities, job description, and compensation. Applicants are also required to submit a write-up on "Expectations from the Programme", which will be considered as part of the evaluation process.

Evaluation Methodology

tickParticipants are assessed on the basis of Online Interaction and attendance criteria fulfilment.
tickLearners will be awarded a ‘Certificate of Participation’ at the end of the Programme.
